Oh I also was told my a dermatologist not to exfoliate or use a scrub on active acne because itwill spread th bacteria and make you break out everywhere. I break out all the time as well!! Thanks for the video…oh and I ue the same skin care routine

I didn’t start breaking out until college either…big shock!! I tried a bunch of different things I finally resorted to prescriptions….I hope your routine continues to work for you!!

@WildDoveX its usually with people like me who have a deeper kind of acne the kind that comes and stays for two weeks. if you just have an occasional pimple thats surfaced it will most likely not be a problem when exfoliating because its basically almost cleared. if that makes sense lol

I also suggest using a BHA exfoliant, its completely different than using a scrub. Neutrogena has a great one that is the 3 in 1 i’m not sure what its called exactly. A BHA exfoliant cleans your pores. It’s the only way to get rid of black heads and also fades scars it does not make them worse. Hope this helps and I can assure what i said is 100% true I have the research to back it up.

I was in the EXACT same place as you. I researched on acne.org as well. I was using the on the spot treatment. It did help me, but after a couple months it wasn’t and started burning. I then researched some more, please stop using it. It has two ingredients which should not be in there: wax, which clogs pores and makes acne worse and clay which is extremely drying. There is another product though that is even better it’s clinique acne solutions emergency gel lotion, it’s only 5% and its $14

it hasn’t made my skin worse. I recommended it to my friend and it helped her SO so much. I’m in Canada but im like 90% sure you guys have it in the states too. I love the makeup dissolving stuff too! Also pure sweet almond oil helped me SO much with Acne as a moisturiser. Sounds nuts but research. I hope this helps <3

I have the EXACT same problem. I had clear skin as a teenager and then all of a sudden I started breaking out when I turned 21 (esp at my chin). I was at a loss of what to do. Also, I tried Benzoyl Peroxide but I had an allergic reaction. =( The Vichy Normaderm skincare line helped me alot. Salicylic Acid was okay… But I dun have a zit cream to REALLY help me get rid of acne.
