Skin Care At Home – 4 Tips To Become Your Own Beautician
There is no need to argue against expert care. Not many can duplicate the services professional skin care practitioners render inside beauty shops. Which is why expert care is costly. But it does not mean these are all beyond what you can do. In fact by knowing what personal skin care is all about, you can be your own beauty expert. What you need is the basic inclination as well as the discipline to follow through and stick to your routine. You also need to know how to select the perfect personal skin care product for you, how they work, and the proper way of using them.
The first thing to do when you embark on a personal skin care regimen is to examine your skin type. You need to know whether your skin is normal, oily, dry or sensitive. And with that you need to choose the skin care product that suits your skin type. You might find it useful to test a number of products before you come to a final decision.
If you have a normal skin type, the following personal skin care regimen is suggested:
1. Cleansing. A good personal skin care program always starts with cleansing. Part of this step is the selection of a good cleanser. The three core cleanser ingredients of a cleanser are water, surfactants (also known as wetting agents) and oil. Surfactants and oil extract oil and dirt from the skin and the water flushes it out, thereby cleansing your skin. Again, you may have to try several cleansers first before picking your best choice.
Important considerations in cleansing include the use of non-soap or soap-free cleansers, the use of lukewarm water for cleansers to open up the skin pores, and the right amount of cleansers to apply. Note that overcleansing can damage your skin.
2. Exfoliation. Cleansing is usually followed by exfoliation. The skin has a natural maintenance and replacement process where it sheds dead skin cells off to be replaced by new ones. Dead skin cells tend to block the pores and the underlying skin layers. Aside from attracting bacterial infection, dead skin cells absorb skin care products but prevent the products from creating their desired effects. What exfoliation does then is facilitate the removal of these dead skin cells.
Ideally, exfoliation should be done 4 to 5 times a week for oily and normal skin and 1 to 2 times a week for dry and sensitive skin. The frequency needs to be increased further during hot and humid weather conditions and reduced during cooler times. The key to effective exfoliation is knowing just how often you need it to get the best results.
3. Moisturizing. This process is basic in personal skin care. Everyone should moisturize, including those whose skin is already oily. Moisturizers not only induce the skin cells to remain moist but also attract moisture from the air whenever needed. Be warned, however, that excessive amounts of moisturizers can clog the skin pores and end up harming your skin. Exactly how much moisturizing you need can be made manifest after a week or so of application, after which you can then start making adjustments. Remember further that moisturizers are best applied on damp skin.
4. Sunscreen. Good moisturizers are doubly beneficial because they come with UV protection. Nevertheless, you should always apply sunscreen irrespective of whether it is sunny or cloudy because sunlight contains UV rays, excessive exposure to which can be harmful to the skin.
Having said all of the above, there is not one best personal skin care regimen for all people. What works best will be for you to experiment on and decide. Just remember that for any sort of skin disorder, you need to consult a dermatologist as a basic step.

Men’s Hair Pieces: Choosing the Right Base Style for You
When looking buying men’s hair pieces online, one of the most important choices to consider is the type of base needed. The “base” of the hair piece is what the hair follicles are sewn into. Common base materials include polyurethane, lace and nylon. Different base materials serve different purposes and each has its own positive and negative attributes.
Lace bases are very comfortable, as lace is usually the best material for air flow. A lace hairpiece will also offer a very natural appearance at the front hairline as the lace front is very fine and virtually invisible. On the flip side, lace hair pieces tend to break down faster than other materials because the lace is very delicate. Attachment may also be more completed, especially if you plan to use hair piece tape. The tape can sometimes be more difficult to remove and tearing may occur.
Nylon bases are somewhat similar to lace. Nylon men’s hair pieces can come in a variety of styles including fine mono and welded mono. A nylon base will also have superior ventilation compared with polyurethane bases and thus offer more comfort to the hair wearer. Nylon is also typically stronger than lace; making nylon hair pieces a more durable option. Some may argue that nylon does not offer as natural an appearance as lace when used in base construction; however the quality of nylon produced these days has helped nylon to rival lace in natural appearance. The durability of nylon also helps hair piece wearers with easy removal, as they do not have to worry about tearing quite as much as they would with a lace hair piece.
Polyurethane hair pieces are sometimes referred to as PU or thin skin. It is designed to almost mimic the appearance of actual skin. Men’s hair pieces made of polyurethane have become a very popular choice in the hair replacement industry. PU offers a very natural appearance is easy to care for. It is also a material very commonly used for disposable hair pieces. One of the main downsides to using a polyurethane base construction is the material tends to be less breathable than lace or nylon. This can make the hair wearer hot and uncomfortable, especially if they live in a warm climate or have a very active lifestyle.
Often, base materials are combined to create hybrid base styles. For example, many of the most popular men’s hair pieces use bases that are constructed mainly of lace or nylon, but feature a polyurethane perimeter for easy attachment. Sometimes, all three materials may be combined to provide the best features of each of the materials. You may see a base composed of welded mono, with a PU perimeter for attachment and a fine lace front to offer the most natural appearance.
Choosing the right base style for your hair piece is relatively easy. It’s just a matter of deciding what your priorities are. If you value a natural appearance over anything else, you may want to choose lace. If you don’t want to spend a lot of time maintaining your hair piece, you may prefer a polyurethane unit. Many men often find that a variety of different base styles suit them well, and don’t mind using a selection of different base materials.

Do You Understand the Dangers of Parabens in Your Cosmetics?
It still astounds me that so many people don’t fully understand about the dangers of parabens in our cosmetics.
I am constantly hearing the questions asked are parabens bad.
Parabens are a highly dangerous chemical agent that has absolutely no business being put anywhere near your skin.
The dangers of parabens have been well documented by science over the years.
They are suspected of causing cellular changes that make our bodies more susceptible to later developing certain kinds of cancer.
Scientific studies have at least to some point proven this to be true.
A study conducted a couple of years ago literally found parabens inside of tumors that were extracted from female breast tissue.
Are parabens bad?
I think that the fact that they are known to be carcinogenic in humans might qualify parabens as chemicals that you might not want to mess with.
It simply amazes me that with all of the evidence that proves the dangers of parabens that the Food and Drug Administration has not done something to force the cosmetics companies to stop putting these toxic chemicals in their products.
That’s government regulation for you.
The FDA never really has done much to control what the cosmetics companies put in their products.
It’s not just a question of are parabens bad, because there are a lot of other ingredients in cosmetics that are equally harmful.
It’s almost criminal that they are allowed to put these kinds of dangerous chemicals in their products.
The dangers of parabens and other chemicals is something that sincerely needs to be addressed.
Our government needs to take action in the way that the European Union did.
They effectively banned the use of many of the hazardous materials that are commonly found in U.S. cosmetics products.
They have gone so far as to form a group that understands the answers to the question are parabens bad.
These companies are the signers of the “Compact for Safe Cosmetics”, which is an oath to the European Union to produce only cosmetics that are made with the purest natural ingredients.
If these companies can produce pure, healthy, all natural products then why can’t the U.S.
cosmetic companies recognize and respect the dangers of parabens and vow to do the same.
It is probably for the simple reason of greed that the CEO’s of these companies will not change their way of doing things.
Are parabens bad?
Yes, but replacing them with all natural antibacterial and antifungal compounds such as Active New Zealand Manuka honey would not be as cost effective and so would therefore cut into the company’s profit margin.
Don’t expect to see the cosmetics industry over here change anytime soon.
I think that we have established the dangers of parabens, and now you understand why these toxins don’t belong in our cosmetics products.
If more companies realizes that the answer to the question are parabens bad is absolutely they are, then maybe they would begin taking responsibility for their action and begin making products that were healthy to use.

When constructing homes, many people are sceptical about using sandstone products and are unsure about it. However, it is very important and useful in construction.
